San Mateo Police Track Down Driver Of Stolen Vehicle That Fled CHP
The 33-year-old Oakland man was arrested.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo officers tracked down the driver of a stolen car that evaded pursuit by the California Highway Patrol early Friday, police said.
The CHP was chasing a stolen white Ford 250 driving south on U.S. Highway 101 about 3:45 a.m. when it exited on Poplar Avenue and continued to evade police by driving recklessly through San Mateo, police said.
When officers found the truck near Central Park, the driver sped away through the downtown area and north on San Mateo Drive. Police lost sight of the vehicle as it drove into Burlingame.

Officers finally located the stolen truck parked on Carmelita Drive. A suspect, a 33-year-old Oakland man, was found walking away and was arrested.
