San Mateo Survey Seeks Feedback On General Plan Direction

The city is considering three alternative plans for circulation and land use on a wide range of topics.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo residents are invited to take a survey on the city’s updated General Plan, which guides how the city will look, feel and change over the next two decades.

The city is considering three alternative plans for circulation and land use on the following topics:

  • Urban Form
  • Traffic and Multimodal Circulation
  • Community Services
  • Utilities
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Equity and Public Health
  • Fiscal Sustainability
  • Market Feasibility
  • Community Benefits

The survey asks questions regarding the best way to approach those topics. They include how the city should allocate its budget on transportation improvements, the most critical risk from climate change and circulation alternative priorities for the city.
