San Mateo Woman Reported Missing from Montara State Beach

Ada Ghorgyi Ward, 48, was last seen on June 12.

Police are searching for a 48-year-old San Mateo woman who went missing from Montara and may be depressed and suicidal, according to Dep. Rebecca Rosenblatt of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday, June 12, Ada Ghorgyi Ward and her boyfriend went to Montara State Beach where they fell asleep. The next morning when the boyfriend awoke Ward was gone, according to police.

The boyfriend then reported her missing to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office on the morning of June 13.

California State Park Rangers as well as San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies searched the beach and cliff areas to no avail. As of Tuesday, additional search efforts on the coastside were continuing as well as follow-up with Ward's family and friends.

Ward is a resident of San Mateo and was last seen wearing  a pink blouse, black sweat pants and no shoes. She has brown hair, hazel eyes and is 5 feet tall and about 110 pounds.
