Dominican University Launches 2023 Wellness Program For Seniors
The University's Department of Occupational Therapy is accepting people 60 years of age and older into its free Healthy Seniors program.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — Dominican University has launched its 2023 wellness program for seniors.
The University’s Department of Occupational Therapy is accepting people 60 years of age and older into its free 2023 Healthy Seniors program for in-person sessions.
The eight-week individualized health and wellness program, which launched Monday, will hold sessions from 1-3 p.m. Monday afternoons through April 24.

The program is being held on the Dominican campus in the Occupational Therapy Department on the first floor in Meadowlands Hall.
Dominican occupational therapy students are fully COVID-19 vaccinated.

Participants must be fully vaccinated, and preferably boosted too.
Students and participants are required to follow CDC and Marin County Department of Public Health safety guidelines.
The individualized two-hour sessions are designed to promote health and wellness, encourage socialization, and to support seniors to maintain a more active and meaningful lifestyle.
Participants will work with Dominican OT students to maintain a healthy lifestyle, enjoy daily life with chronic physical conditions, and explore assistive devices that can make their lives easier.
Fall prevention, home safety, nutrition, technology in daily living and community mobility may also be addressed as appropriate.
The program is being held under the supervision of faculty member Susan LeBlanc.
