Resilient Neighborhoods Announces Leadership Transistion
Marin County Board of Supervisors to Honor Tamra Peters with Resolution and Reception
After 13 years, Tamra Peters, Resilient Neighborhoods' (RN) celebrated founder, has decided to move out of the Executive Director role to focus more on what she loves most - leading the Climate Action teams and continuing to develop RN’s programs.
Tamra founded Resilient Neighborhoods in 2010. Since that time, over 2,000 people have graduated from our workshop series, reducing their greenhouse gas emissions by over 13.6 million annual pounds. This is like taking 2,500 homes permanently off the grid.
Tamra remains committed to Climate Action and will continue with Resilient Neighborhoods as a member of the Board of Directors and RN’s Program Director. Kathren Murrell Stevenson, who joined our team in July of 2023, has moved into the Executive Director role as part of a planned leadership transition. Tamra and Kathren are excited to continue working together with the Resilient Neighborhoods team and Marin County residents to reach our 2030 Climate Challenge goal of reducing 20 million annual pounds of greenhouse gas emissions from our atmosphere and protecting our living planet for future generations.
