Tell us about your business and its history in your town.
Salon Ciera was opened in March 2019 as a boutique hair color and cutting studio located inside of Sola Salon Studios in downtown San Rafael. I have been a hairstylist for 10 years and grew up in Woodacre with close ties to the community. I am a hair color specialist and recreate natural sun-kissed looks using balayage. I also advocate for gender-neutral salon pricing and charge my clients by length of their hair, not gender. I wanted my studio to be a safe place for anyone and everyone to feel comfortable while getting their hair done, and to have a fun time.
