‘MarinMania’ Lucha Libre Wrestling Is Coming To The Bay Area

For the first time ever, a live professional Lucha Libre event is coming to Marin County.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Prepare to see six action-packed professional Lucha Libre bouts at “MarinMania” on Saturday in San Rafael.

With doors opening at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Wrestling For Charity and Desire to Inspire Studios presents, for the first time ever, a professional wrestling event at 125 Mitchell Blvd. Suite H in San Rafael. The entrance is in the back alley.

A cast of beloved superheroes and despicable villains will put on a family-friendly evening full of acrobatic performances, death-defying feats and a dramatic flair of live theatre and improv comedy, according to a press release.

Wrestlers scheduled to perform are El Comico, “Hot Stuff” Carmelo Romeo, Slammin’ Jammin’ Jheri Giggalow, The Gator Boyz: Honkey Kong, Bobby Bayou & “Snake Daddy” Brian Joseph, female Luchadora Sailor Mask, “Filipino Firebelly” Giga Herrera, The All Day Krue, Dropkick, “The Titan” Elliot Rey, J.T. Thorne, Llama Jack, Marin County’s own Buddy Sotello, ESQ., Sexxy B Blackr, Lyta Jay, and many more.

For 20 years, Wrestling for Charity has been providing professional wrestling that benefits nonprofits and has featured past wrestlers such as Bayley, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, Candace LeRae, Brian Cage, Shotzi, Jeff Cobb and many others - all before they became major Global stars and World champions.
