Annual 4th Of July Celebration To Recognize City's 40th Anniversary
San Ramon's annual celebration will feature music, food and fun.

SAN RAMON, CA — While a fireworks display is not on the calendar for the city of San Ramon's Fourth of July Celebration, music, food and plenty of good old fashioned family fun are on tap for the annual event.
This year's Fourth of July Celebration Concert, scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. at Central Park Amphitheater, 12501 Alcosta Boulevard, will feature Eagles Tribute Band and southern California natives, The Boys of Summer along with a celebration of San Ramon's 40th anniversary of cityhood, the city announced in a news release.
The evening's events will begin with a reading by the San Ramon Poet Laureate, followed by patriotic music performed by Olympia Fields, the brass section of the San Ramon Symphonic Band, followed by a salute and recognition of Veterans and active-duty military personnel, and the singing of the National Anthem by San Ramon resident Sofie Donati, the city said.

The Boys of Summer will take the stage at 6 p.m. and entertain the crowd with The Eagles’ greatest hits such as "One Of These Nights," "Desperado" and "Life In The Fast Lane."
A variety of food truck vendors will be on hand selling everything from sweet to savory to satisfy even the pickiest of palates and the San Ramon Arts Foundation will have wine, beer, soda, and water available for purchase, the city said.

According to the news release, shade structures, tents, and umbrellas will only be permitted at the top of the hill to ensure lines of sight to the stage remain open.
Additional parking will be available at Iron Horse Middle School.
