SAN RAMON, CA — As the cold settles in, it helps to think about May. The City of San Ramon is planning for the Art and Wind Festival, an annual kite-flying festival scheduled for May 26-27, 2024, that was attended by over 40,000 people this year.

The city is looking for qualified artists to create a featured piece to represent the festival. The selected artist will receive a $750 stipend for time and materials, as well as free gallery space to exhibit at the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery during the festival. The artwork should represent both the spirit of the festival and the community of San Ramon.

The call is open to anyone 16 or older living in the Tri-Valley. Applicants can include up to three submissions, and must also include an artist statement, past works, and more.
