A stretch of the road will close for a week in September and a week in October for construction on the Iron Horse Trail Overpassing.

SAN RAMON, CA — Bollinger Canyon Road will be closed between Camino Ramon and Market Place from Saturday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Sept. 15 for a critical phase of construction of the Iron Horse Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Overcrossing, the city said. Once the work is complete, the silhouette of the overcrossing will be visible, officials said.

Detours will be in place to direct traffic around the construction zone. City Hall and Marketplace Shopping Center will be open with access from westbound Bollinger Canyon Road. Pedestrians and bicycles will be able to use the existing sidewalk detour route on the south side of Bollinger Canyon Road.

See below for a detour map.
