UPDATE: 10-Year-Old on Bike and a Jeep Wrangler Collide Near California High School

The 10-year-old was taken to San Ramon Regional Medical Center for minor injuries but has been released.

A 10-year-old on a bike struck a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Milo Way and Davona Drive, a couple blocks away from , Wednesday morning, according the San Ramon Police Department.

The 10-year-old was taken to for minor injuries but has since been released.

The accident occurred when the 17-year-old driver of the Jeep Wrangler was making a left turn on Davona Drive onto Milo Way. The 10-year-old, traveling southbound on Davona, collided with the side of the Wrangler, police said in a press release.

The incident was first reported to the San Ramon Valley Fire Department at 8:22 a.m. and crews arrived at 8:28 a.m.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
