Construction On Bollinger Canyon Road Overcrossing Starts Monday
The work will lead to closures on Bollinger Canyon Road and the Iron Horse Trail, along with intermittent daily closures.

SAN RAMON, CA — Construction on the overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road begins the week of July 31, and is expected to last for 18-24 months. Work on the crossing, which among other goals aims to improve safety, improve vehicular traffic flow, eliminate unsafe crossing maneuvers, and increase trail use, is expected to last 18-24 months.
During the construction, the following impacts are expected, according to the city:
- A long-term lane closure on Bollinger Canyon Road near a portion of the median in front of City Hall.
- One lane on each side of Bollinger Canyon Road will be closed.
- The left turn lane onto Bishop Ranch 1 East will be closed.
- Intermittent daily lane closures on Bollinger Canyon Road from Alcosta Boulevard to Camino Ramon.
- Construction zone speed limit of 30 mph.
- Closure of the north side of the Iron Horse trail adjacent to Bollinger Canyon Road.
- At a later date, the south side of the trail adjacent to Bollinger Canyon Road will also be implemented.
