Would You Want Your Kid Taking a Bible From a Stranger?
What are your thoughts on people hanging out near schools and providing Bibles or other handouts to students?

Patch Reader Erin Feisler on Tuesday snapped a photo of a man standing near Iron Horse Middle School in San Ramon and handing out Bibles to students.
She shared the photo with Patch on our Facebook page and wrote:
I dont think it's right. Nor if it were my own child going there would I feel comfortable about someone standing there — a stranger approaching my child at all and no kind of supervisor around doing anything!

Other Patch readers on our Facebook page commented on the photo:
- We are strong Christians and teach the bible in our home, but pushy Christians annoy me. And I don't care what he's handing out, he shouldn't be allowed this close to a school. —Alicia Bishop
- I think people overreact. It might be annoying, but is he really doing something illegal? I thought this was a free country. —Matthew Abbott
- That is not cool! It's scary that someone could be interacting with that many kids and no one is asking him to leave! Doesn't make me feel very comfortable. —Alicia Blum
- Freedom of speech. He is on the public sidewalk. He is doing nothing wrong legally. —Marshall Abbott
