Hopyard Raising Funds to Help Resident Fight Cancer on Monday

Juli Shabazian is fighting cancer at an incredible level right now. She was advised by her doctors to start a six-week radiation plan.

That will start this Tuesday and go for six weeks. 

Juli was diagnosed with Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma PXA in September and her tumor was removed in November. In December her symptoms of nausea and vomiting began and two weeks ago the doctors determined that the tumor had metastasized to her spine, cerebral spinal fluid and another location in her brain.  

The tumor that Juli has is extremely unusual in adults. Less then one percent is found in adults. The National Institute of Health and Stand Up To Cancer are some of the organizations involved in Juli's treatment.  

On Monday, the in San Ramon is dedicating 20 percent of their receipts to The Shabazian Family Fund to help offset the enormous expenses they are faced with. Medical, travel, child, food, etc. expenses. There will be groups of people showing up through out the day to support Juli's fight against this extremely rare cancer. If anyone can fight it Juli can!
