Kristi Yamaguchi To Reopen Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink At City Center
The gold medal-winning figure skater will inaugurate the new skating season, which includes a Taylor Swift and K-Pop nights.

SAN RAMON, CA — It’s almost that time of year: City Center’s Kristi Yamaguchi Ice Rink is reopening for the season, and its namesake, figure skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi, is going to cut the ribbon.
On Friday, the Gold Medal and two-time World Champion figure skater will inaugurate the season, which will last until Jan. 4. The opening Ceremony will take place from 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 7, and will feature skating performances, carolers, and an official ribbon-cutting from Yamaguchi.
Guests can also learn from the master herself at the Kristi Yamaguchi Skating Clinic on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 to 10 a.m.

Throughout the season, guests can enjoy 90-minute sessions with skate rentals included for $22 for ages three and up. Skating enthusiasts can purchase a $90 season pass for unlimited skating throughout the season, or take advantage of the new $10 Tuesdays on Nov. 18, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, and Dec. 16 All proceeds from the rink benefit Yamaguchi's Always Dream foundation, a nonprofit helping children from low-income families have access to high-quality books and family engagement support.
Skating sessions are offered daily at 1, 3, 5, and 7 p.m. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the rink opens at 11 a.m., and 9 p.m. sessions are available Fridays and Saturdays. The season will feature a number of themed events, including:

- Dec. 31: New Year's Eve Glow Night (5, 7, & 9 p.m.)
