Portion Of Crow Canyon Road To Close For Months
The road will be closed to facilitate construction of the second phase of embankment repairs due to storm damage, Alameda County said.

SAN RAMON, CA — A portion of Crow Canyon Road is closed Monday through early August for storm damage repair, the Alameda County Public Works Agency announced.
Crow Canyon will be closed to traffic between Norris Canyon Road and Bollinger Canyon Road, a less settled area on the western edges of the city. The road is being closed to facilitate construction of the second phase of embankment repairs due to storm damage, ACPWA said.
The project is just one of four phases of repairs that the agency has been undertaking since December 2021 on the stretch of Crow Canyon Road between East Castro Valley Boulevard and the county line.

During the summer, starting on an unspecified date, one lane of the road will be closed from Mile Marker 5.25 to Bollinger Canyon Road in order to:
- Repair and resurface the roadway.
- Construct wider roadway shoulder areas.
- Replace and install new guardrails.
- Install a centerline rumble strip.
- Replace and install new detector loops.
- Upgrade signing and striping.
- Replace drainage culverts.
For about five months, construction will last between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and cars will be detoured. Lanes will be reopened after 5. See here for more information.
