The City of San Ramon is committed to providing the essential services and facilities that help maintain a high quality of life. Our goal is to provide the services that our community values, while also being fiscally responsible.
The City has begun its 2024/25 Budget Process, and is navigating rising costs that outpace year-over-year revenue projections.

Community input is vital to budget planning and protecting San Ramon’s future.
The City is seeking community feedback at a number of public events this spring. Staff will present information on San Ramon's Financial Outlook and Funding Needs and gather input from residents at upcoming events, including:
- Lunchtime* Presentation & Conversation at Senior Center
Tuesday, April 16 at noon
Alcosta Senior and Community Center (9300 Alcosta Blvd.)* This event takes place alongside the Café Costa Senior Lunch Program. To participate in the meal, please sign up in person at the Alcosta Senior and Community Center no later than noon on Monday, April 15.
Suggested lunch donation for those ages 60+: $3
Required lunch fee for ages 59 and under: $6
Seating will also be available for anyone who would like to attend, but not participate in the lunch.

Registration opens to residents on April 15, and to non-residents on April 29.

Crow Canyon Widening Update
Paving Operations Continue Week of April 8
Expect Changes to Traffic Control
Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone).
Work Planned Through 4/12/24 (Weather Dependent):
Due to rain, paving operations have been extended into next week. Please expect the following changes to traffic control for the week of April 8:
Eastbound and Westbound Crow Canyon Road, April 4–10:
- New traffic pattern, detours, and lane shifts to place vehicles in the outside lane
- Follow signs and detours
Intersection of Crow Canyon Road at El Capitan Drive, April 4–10:
- No left turns will be permitted through the intersection
- Follow the detours to U-turn at Camino Ramon and Canyon Crest Drive
Intersection of Crow Canyon Road at Alcosta Boulevard, April 4–10:
- Intersection will be open with a temporary westbound left turn pocket to access Alcosta Blvd for destinations such as San Ramon Regional Medical Center, San Ramon Post Office, and School traffic
The eastbound left turn pocket to St. George Road will be closed until this work is complete. Eastbound drivers will be detoured to U-turn at Canyon Crest Drive.
Tahiti Drive will remain closed until this work is complete.
Some changes in the schedule of the work may occur, depending on construction progress and the need to ensure safety.
Please expect delays and leave early for appointments. Use an alternate route whenever possible and avoid the construction area.

Please obey all traffic regulations and detour signs to provide a safe working environment and safety for all road users.

Sheep Shearing Day at Forest Home Farms
Saturday, April 13, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Tickets sell out annually to this fun and educational day on the farm, presented by the San Ramon Historic Foundation. Activities include sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations, wool spinning, tractor rides, and more!

Locals Only Juried Art Exhibit

Are you an artist who lives in San Ramon? Do you create art at home, in the park, at school, or find inspiration within city limits?
The City of San Ramon invites artists of all ages to enter recent original 2D artwork to be considered for the first Juried Art Exhibit for the residents of San Ramon!
- Application Deadline: Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m.
- 2024 Theme: Natural to Abstract
- Exhibition: Viewable to the public from May 6–28 at Dougherty Station Community Arts Center (17011 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA 94582)
- Awards: Announced at the public exhibition reception on Friday, May 10, 6–8 p.m. at Dougherty Station Community Arts Center

San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee presents
Open Space Hike: Tassajara Ridge
Saturday, April 13, 9–11 a.m.
Free for All Ages (Difficulty: Hard)
Meet @ Tassajara Staging Area
Join the San Ramon Open Space Advisory Committee and enjoy the sights of spring via an approximate 3-mile hike along the Tassajara Ridge Trail.
Starting at the Tassajara Staging Area on Windemere Parkway, the hike will follow the ridge trail allowing participants to enjoy 360-degree views of the Dougherty and Tassajara Valleys, Mount Diablo and the Tri-Valley to the south. At this time of year, participants will likely be able to enjoy the spring wildflowers as well.
Meet at the , San Ramon, CA 94582). Additional parking is available at Six Pillars Park (12219 Windemere Parkway, San Ramon CA, 94582) located approximately .25 miles away.
This trail is rated as hard. The hike is free; pre-registration is required (Act# 23721).
Earth Day 2024 Celebration
Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m.–2p.m.
Forest Home Farms
Celebrate Earth Day 2024 on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Forest Home Farms (19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon CA 94583). Participate in nature journaling, tours of the Glass House, and outdoor crafts while learning about composting, native plant gardening and eco-anxiety.
This event is free and designed for all ages.

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work.
Work Completed Through 4/3/24:
- Completed Abutment #1
- Poured Abutment #2
- Poured Column #2
- Poured Pier 1 Y-section
- Poured grout for Pier 3
- Poured Pier 5 bottom column
- Poured Pier 5 Y-section
Work Anticipated Through 4/11/24 (Weather Dependent):
- Continue demolition, excavation on the Iron Horse Trail
- Continue abutment, pier and MSE wall work on the Trail, including rebar installation and concrete pours
- Continue MSE panel deliveries and installation; south side delivery has begun
- Continue median work for Pier 3 – will see increased construction work in the median area. No additional lane closures are expected at this time.

Unclaimed Property
The City of San Ramon declares that monetary sums totaling $96,733.05 held by the City in the General Fund have remained unclaimed for a period over three (3) years and will become the property of the City of San Ramon on April 9, 2024, a date not less than forty-five (45) days nor more than sixty (60) days after the first publication of this notice, in accordance with California Government Code Section 50050-50057.
