San Ramon To Celebrate Earth Day At Forest Home Farms
Saturday's celebration will begin with the planting of the Arbor Day Tree, kicking off a day of family-friendly fun.
SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon families will have the opportunity Saturday to get out and enjoy the sunshine while celebrating Earth Day at Forest Home Farms.
This year's celebration gets underway at 10 a.m., kicking off with the planting of the Arbor Day Tree. Other family-friendly fun includes a nature journaling station, a kids' craft table, and free tours of the Glass Victorian House.
This year's theme is "Planet vs. Plastic," and volunteers manning informational booths will share knowledge about how plastics impact life and the environment, along with a few tips for reducing personal plastic use. Neighbors can also pick up a few composting tips and grab some compost for their gardens.
