San Ramon Election: District 1 Race Remains Close

SAN RAMON, CA — The races affecting San Ramon remain relatively unchanged as of Friday at 3:12 p.m., the last time Contra Costa County updated its results. The totals have not yet been officially certified as final by the county. The race for District 1 remains nail-bitingly close, with just 112 votes separating Robert Jweinat with Vasanth Shetty.

  2. Chirag Kathrani: 8,900 (29.56%)

City Council, District 1

  1. Robert Jweinat: 3,530 (50.81%)
  2. Vasanth Shetty: 3,418 (49.19%)

SRVUSD Board, Area 3 (1 seat representing San Ramon)

  1. Laura Bratt: 5,091, 52.4%
  2. Sukriti Sehgal: 4,625, 47.6%

Measure Q (a ballot measure to renew a $144 a year parcel tax for school funding)

  1. Yes: 52,476, 74.38%
  2. No: 18,073, 25.62%
