Sales Tax Measure on City Council Agenda
Decision at City Council Meeting on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m.

At the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 25, the San Ramon City Council received a presentation on a community poll recently conducted, and provided direction to staff on drafting language for a sales tax measure for the November 2024 ballot.

Summer Concert Series: Sacred Fire Band
Sunday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m.
San Ramon Central Park Amphitheater

This Sunday, July 21, the San Ramon Summer Concert Series continues with Sacred Fire Band, a Santana tribute band, at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Park Amphitheater (12501 Alcosta Blvd., San Ramon CA 94583)

Bring a blanket or a low-back lawn chair and be ready to dance the night away!

Food will be available for purchase from the Food Truck Mafia trucks; wine, beer, and soda will be available to purchase from the San Ramon Arts Foundation.

Middle School Pool Party
Wednesday, July 31 from 7–9 p.m.
San Ramon Olympic Pool

The Middle School Pool Party is coming up on Wednesday, July 31 at the San Ramon Olympic Pool (9900 Broadmoor Drive, San Ramon CA 94583) for incoming 6th–8th graders.

Play games, listen to music, win prizes, race on the Splash N’ Dash, take a dip in the play pool, float on an inner tube, play games and more!

Applications Open: Fall 2024 Citizen Planning Academy

Applications are now open for the Fall 2024 session of San Ramon's Citizen Planning Academy!

The Academy is designed to educate and engage residents in the City’s planning process, and will provide an overview of why cities plan, how planning shapes our community, and the land use planning process. The course concludes with a Mock Planning Commission Meeting for a theoretical project, where the participants serve as the Planning Commission, developers, and residents.

The classes are anticipated to be held on5 consecutive Mondays beginning September 9. Each class begins at6:30 p.m.and ends at9 p.m., and will be held at City Hall. Following completion of the course, there will be a formal recognition of class participants at a City Council meeting.

The class isfree, but space is limited to 20 residents, over 18 years of age.

Applications are due by Friday, August 2.

Applications Open: San Ramon Police Department's Community Academy
Apply by July 31

Applications are open for the San Ramon Police Department's popular Community Academy for those who live or work in San Ramon!

The Fall 2024 session begins on August 14 and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30–9:30 p.m. at San Ramon Police Department (2401 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon CA 95683). The session will conclude on October 30.

This is an immersive program that covers a wide variety of topics and includes a day at the range, tour of the County Jail and a high-speed driving course.

San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District Launches New SRV Fire App

San Ramon Valley Fire is excited to launch SRV Fire, a new mobile citizen engagement application powered by GOGov. This application puts the power of SRV in the palm of your hand.

The app enables residents to connect with SRV and is available for download in the App Store and Google Play online stores. The new solution also simplifies the service request process for the staff, allowing them to easily track the issue and communicate with citizens.

To download the free app, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “SRV Fire to find the app.

Construction Update: Crow Canyon Widening
Upcoming Changes to Eastbound Traffic

Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone).

Work Recently Completed Through 7/18/24:

  • Completed eastbound paving operations
  • Opened Barbados Drive
  • Completed eastbound striping operations
  • Began removal of pole bases east of Crow Canyon Private
  • Poured concrete median tips

Work Planned Through 7/26/24:

  • Continue eastbound landscape and irrigation work
  • Landscape and mulch installation – requires closure of two lanes in the eastbound direction during working hours. A minimum of one lane will always be open for vehicles and bikes.
  • Continue westbound storm drain and grading work. This work requires closure of one westbound travel lane.
  • Begin subgrade work for the northside path
  • Site clean-up
  • Saturday landscape maintenance work will take place on July 20

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing

Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work.

Work Recently Completed Through 7/18/24:

  • North MSE Wall structure substantially complete
  • Poured Pier 3 Pile Cap
  • Poured Pier 3 Pedestal
  • Excavated for overcrossing stairs
  • Poured foundation for overcrossing stairs
  • Adjusted traffic signal indicators

Work Anticipated Through 7/26/24:

  • Continue demolition, excavation, and grading on the Iron Horse Trail
  • Continue embankment grading
  • Continue drainage
  • Continue to pour Pier 3 barrier wall
  • Pedestrian sidewalk pour at south end of the project
