San Ramon Students Place 2nd At Destination Imagination Competition
A team of 6th and 7th graders from Windemere Middle School received two awards at the Destination Imagination Global Finals.

SAN RAMON, CA — A team of 6th and 7th graders from Windemere Middle School received two awards at the Destination Imagination Global Finals, a project-based program teaching kids to be innovative problem solvers. The Well Done Potatoes team placed second out of 100 overall teams, and received the Da Vinci Award, which recognizes a creative approach to problem solving.
The team received the Da Vinci Award for their method of suspending weights from a bridge without using any connectors.
San Ramon students have historically performed well at the Destination Imagination challenges. In April 2024, a group ofseven San Ramon students placed first in both regional and state-level competitions. In May 2023, a team of 8th graders from Gale Ranch and Windemere Ranch middle schools also headed to the global competition in Kansas City after placing first in a regional competition and second in a state competition.
