San Ramon Teens Host E-Waste Donation Event In Fremont
Working devices will be donated to students in need via the Fremont Education Foundation, and non-working devices will be safely recycled.

SAN RAMON, CA — Chances are your basement is filled with all kinds of old calculators, keyboard, keyboard mouses, and all other varieties of e-waste you no longer use. Now you can help donate them to students in need.
Recirqt, a nonprofit led by a team of San Ramon high school students, is hosting a community e-waste event Wednesday in Fremont. The team is partnering with Surplus Service, a certified e-waste recycler, the Fremont Education Foundation, and Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert’s office to host the event.
They are collecting items like desktops, laptops, keyboards, mouses, cell phones, projectors, sound equipment, and more. Guests can drive up to Surplus Service’s Fremont location and donate without ever leaving their car. A team of volunteers will unload donations.

"Our mission is personal. We are students and understand firsthand the critical role that technology plays in education and career opportunities.
