Soaring Gas Prices Continue In San Ramon

Drivers aren't seeing any relief at the pump.

SAN RAMON, CA — Drivers in the Tri-Valley saw another uptick in gas prices over the weekend as did many throughout the Bay Area.

Prices at the pump continue to rise and California’s average price per gallon is now at $5.97, GasBuddy stats show. The highest recorded average for the state dating back to 2008 was listed at $5.94.

In the Tri-Valley, it’s creeping toward $7 a gallon Monday as prices hit $6.39 for regular gas in some places.

Below are the reports from GasBuddy as of Monday morning.

The lowest in San Ramon shows $5.59 at the Costco off Fostoria Way. The Shell station off Crow Canyon Road shows $6.39 and the same for the Chevron off Camino Ramon. The lowest premium was priced at $5.99 at Valero off Market Place and the highest was $6.69 at Chevrons. The lowest diesel cost was also at the Valero off Market Place where it was listed at $6.29 per gallon. Diesel prices reached $6.79 at the Chevron and Shell off San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Crown Canyon Road.

In Danville, the highest cost for a regular gallon of gas is $6.39 at the Chevron and Extra Mile on Hartz Avenue. The lowest is $5.79 at Danville Gas and Car Wash off San Ramon Valley Boulevard. The cost of premium gas reaches $6.69 and diesel is $6.79 at some places.

A&A Express has the lowest gas price in Dublin at $5.57 per gallon for regular. Chevron and Shell again have the highest prices at $6.39. Safeway off Dublin Boulevard has the lowest premium cost at $5.71 whereas it’s $6.79 at Chevron off San Ramon Road. The lowest diesel was at the Exxon on Amador Valley Boulevard or the Shell on Dublin Boulevard at $6.69, ten cents cheaper than Shell’s $6.79 price.

Pleasanton Gas Station off Main Street has the cheapest gas in Pleasanton at $5.69 a gallon. Prices reached $6.45 at the Sell off 1st Street. The lower-end premium prices are at $5.99 at Pleasanton Gas Station and $6.85 at the Shell off 1st Street. Diesel costs hit over $7 at $7.05 at the same Shell station whereas it's $6.29 at the Pleasanton Gas Station.

The Speedway off 1st Street in Livermore and the Marathon off Holmes Street both have Livermore’s lowest rate at $5.85 and the Chevron off Las Positas Court reaches $6.49 The lowest premium cost is $6.15 at the Speedway off 1st and on the higher end it’s $6.69 at the Chevron off Los Positas. Diesel is $6.09 at the Arco off Rincon and $6.55 at the Marathon off Holmes Street.

The national average remains steady at $4.48. The tick has gone up little by little over the last month but that’s still the highest ever recorded average in records dating back to 2008, GasBuddy reports.

The lowest average for 2022 is $3.27. As of Monday, the West and East Coasts as well as Illinois continue to have the highest prices in the country. California still has the highest gas prices in the country.
