Attempted Homicide Arrest In Santa Cruz
The victim was found with serious head injuries, but is expected to survive.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz Police Department has arrested a man on suspicion of attempted homicide after a Santa Cruz man was found with serious head injuries late last month.
Jose Dante Espinosa, 34, was identified as the suspect after an investigation by detectives, spurred by a call around 7 a.m. Feb. 24 in San Lorenzo Park at 137 Dakota Ave. in Santa Cruz, police said in a statement. Officers responded and found a 32-year-old resident of the homeless encampment was seriously hurt.
The man was hospitalized in critical condition and is expected to survive.

Espinosa was taken into custody on an arrest warrant Tuesday in San Lorenzo Park, near Soquel Avenue.
