The holidays are a joyous time for our community, but as we celebrate the fellowship and good cheer of the season, we must not forget those who face the challenges of houselessness or economic and social circumstances. For more than 36 years, the Veterans in Santa Cruz have provided Holiday Dinners to hundreds of our friends and neighbors. We are asking our community to help make this a special event by donating some time or a few of your holiday dollars to support the meal. Breath+Oneness Yoga

Connecting breath, sacred imagery and sound, Jeilene will take you on a deep journey into the stillpoint of your heart chakra, connecting you with the divine plane within. In this sacred place, you can merge your energy with the divine and your soul, attuning you to the frequencies of compassion and love.
The crystal sound bowls will assist you in maintaining and expanding this frequency, allowing you to be held in this divine state of being and connection. In this divine space within, it is possible to receive healing, wisdom, and expanded perspectives that can greatly benefit you.
As this energy expands throughout the body, it will be anchored into two additional energy centers, the lower dantian and the Cave of Brahma. The lower dantian, located in the abdomen, will provide grounding of the heart frequency into a powerful energy center of the body, providing balance to your physical body. The Cave of Brahma, located in the center of the brain, acts as a portal to expand intuition and soul guidance, increasing your ability to feel connected and in flow with your divine path.

Join movement facilitator and DJ Chelsea Biklen for this monthly dance ceremony. We will open our space with a circle and grounding to connect and explore our dance theme. The evening will continue into a lightly guided dance journey called Dancing Freedom, which follows a 5-stage arc through the 5 ayurvedic elements. Dancing Freedom is a somatic and shamanic practice of liberation rooted in ceremony. As we dance with the elements we re-awaken and remember our connection to these elements, within and without, and to all that is. This practice welcomes all ages, sizes, colors, and creeds. You cannot do it wrong! When we come together to move as our ancestors did, we create a deep space of shared practice, transformation, and community. Dancing Freedom reminds us of who we really are. Chelsea Amber
Chelsea is a community co-creator, student, teacher, and spiritual seeker. She finds her own divine remembrance and connection through ceremony, nature, silence, and movement. She has found that within music and dance she is able to stabilize her own consistent dialogue and trust in life. Chelsea seeks containers of safety and skilled holding to explore the depths of her own body as a vessel for liberation and connection - and she aims to create these spaces for others. In addition to being an Ecstatic Dance DJ, Chelsea is a Dancing Freedom Facilitator, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. Her DJ name 'Presencia' comes from a strong internal value to show up presently to each part of the process of creation.

For this Winter Solstice, join me and Laya Gongs for a heartfelt evening of ceremony, sound, and medicine: ritual altar-building, a microdose-guided journey, and a Breathwork journey held with intention, reverence, and gentle integration.

Kate Clemens, PA-C
Kate is a licensed Physician Assistant, holistic health coach, and founder of New Mindscape in Capitola, CA. With over 20 years of experience in both conventional and alternative wellness, Kate blends clinical expertise with intuitive healing to guide others toward deep transformation.
Her diverse background includes certifications in yoga instruction, craniosacral therapy, nutrition, and multiple bodywork modalities. She holds a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Yale School of Medicine and is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and United States Naval Academy.
Kate’s passion lies in creating safe, sacred spaces where individuals can reconnect with their inner wisdom. Through her work at New Mindscape, she offers ketamine-assisted treatment programs that integrate mindfulness, somatic practices, and gut-brain healing to support emotional resilience and mental clarity.
James White, MD 
James is a medical doctor boarded in Emergency Medicine. He practiced at some busy medical centers where he continually advanced his clinical skills and knowledge base including at Kaiser where he taught 3rd year ER residence and sat on the Quality Review Committee. 
Dr. White has always had a diverse interest in the practice of medicine and has sought out complimentary approaches. He has significant experience in the ER use of Ketamine and is an expert on its uses in the emergency setting. As the use for Ketamine in the treatment of resistant depression and anxiety has become more widely known and studied, Dr. White took some additional training in its use for this purpose under the tutelage of Ketamine pioneer and psychiatrist Dr. Phil Wolffson. Its practical purposes have become increasingly clear, that it can be extremely beneficial in decluttering a disorganized mind allowing the issue at hand to be identified and clarity to be restored. It is further felt that there is a group wisdom present when journeying in a small group that aids in the process of enlightenment.
