Downtown Santa Cruz Parking Fees To Benefit Local Nonprofit

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Sometimes, it's the little things that make a difference. Like parking in downtown Santa Cruz from Dec. 18 to Dec. 25.

The city is hosting its eighth annual Parking for Hope fundraiser, with money collected benefiting Hope Services, a nonprofit that serves adults with developmental disabilities and cleans Pacific Avenue and downtown Santa Cruz streets.

Parking for Hope began as a 2014 pilot program and has since raised $202,500 for Hope Services.

Placards will be hung on affected meters. Parking rates will remain the same and the 35 cent fee to pay by phone via Parkmobile will also be donated.
