Driver Crashed Into Santa Cruz Starbucks Patio
A poorly executed turn caused a driver to step on the gas and careen into a Starbucks patio, police said.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — A car crashed into the patio of the Starbucks location at Ocean and Water streets Tuesday evening, police.
Nobody was injured. The patio was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
The driver was headed down Water and decided to turn southbound onto Ocean at the last minute, police said. They struck an island, hit the gas pedal, lost control and careened onto the sidewalk and patio.
