Earthquake Recap: Four Quakes Hit Region
Just under a handful of small earthquakes hit around Portola Valley and Los Altos Hills this week, but they were too small for most to feel.
Four small earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale around Silicon Valley this week, with the largest measured at 1.7, seven miles east of Quarry, near Portola Valley.
Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2.0-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter.
