Erosion Repair To Slow Highway 1 Traffic Near Limekiln
A project that begins Monday to replace a culvert and repair erosion will slow traffic for the next three months on Highway 1.
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A project that begins Monday to replace a culvert and repair erosion will slow traffic for the next three months on Highway 1 south of Limekiln State Park.
The project is located at post mile 20.4 at Lucia Fountain, less than a half-mile south of the state park and about 1.4 miles north of Kirk Creek Campground.
The highway will be reduced to one way in each direction from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Delays of 10 to 15 minutes are expected, according to Caltrans officials.

Weather permitting, the work should be completed by the end of November.
The $750,000 project is being performed by Serafix Engineering of Santa Rosa.
