The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk announced its first ever Battle of the Bands, to be held during Comcast Spring Break on April 5, 2012 from 1 – 6pm. Bands are invited to enter, there is no entry fee.
Bands entries must be received by March 19, 2012. A poll on the Boardwalk’s Facebook page from March 21-23 will determine the top five bands. Those top five bands will each perform three songs on April 5, during Comcast Spring Break. The winning band, selected by a panel of judges, will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

Comcast Spring Break is a week of family-friendly special activities April 2 – 6; details will be announced later this month.
Boardwalk rides are scheduled to open daily for full operation March 31 through April 15.
