Fentanyl, Heroin, $11K In Cash Recovered By Police
Meth and a loaded gun were also found when police allegedly encountered a man with a sheath knife around his neck.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz Police Department said it arrested a man with 172 grams of fentanyl and heroin, 43 grams of meth, a loaded gun and $11,000 in cash.
San Martin Puga-Hernandez, 31, was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail Tuesday morning after he was arrested on suspicion of eight charges related to possessing drugs for sale, possessing paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and guns, jail records show. He remained in Santa Cruz County Jail as of Thursday morning.
Police were in the area of the San Lorenzo Riverbank near the Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery, trying to move people out of the area closed due to flooding. Police said officers spotted Puga-Hernandez with a sheath knife around his neck.

They searched Puga-Hernandez and his backpack and found the drugs, cash, gun and a replica BB handgun and packaging materials for sales, police said.
Officers also issued eight citations to evacuate encampments in the area.
