SOQUEL, CA — A 62-year-old man died in a crash near Soquel in Santa Cruz County on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 7:49 p.m. on Soquel San Jose Road south of Los Robles Road.
CHP investigators determined that the man was driving a gray 2004 Chevrolet Silverado north when he veered off the roadway and hit a raised curb before the vehicle overturned, then hit a metal chain-link fence.

The man, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
