Police Looking for Man Who Followed Teenage Girl

Santa Cruz Police are looking for a man who followed and tried to talk to a 13-year-old girl on her way to school Monday morning on Swift street.

The man walked up to the girl and asked if she was interested in Jesus. She walked into the street to avoid him and picked up her pace and he began to follow her. He followed for a block and then left.

The man is described a white male adult, short curly hair with slight facial hair. He was further described as having a disheveled appearance. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, baggy pants, and boots. The juvenile was not harmed and reported the incident after getting to school. No threats were made by the suspect.
