Police Seek Man Who Stole Purse Through Car Window
Santa Cruz Police say a man reached through the window of a car Thursday afternoon after fighting a woman for her purse.

Santa Cruz Police are looking for a man who reached into the window of a car on the 700 block of Front Street Thursday at 4:11 p.m. and grabbed a woman's purse.
The 23-year-oldwoman fought him, but the strap broke and he made off with the bag.
Police quickly got on the case and found some of the victim's belongings at the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue, near where the same suspect stole a bat from a store.

He then stole a bicycle at the 300 block of Lincoln Street, which was recovered near Washington and New Streets. He stole another bicycle from the 600 block of Washington Street, a red Bridgestone hybrid with a white basket.
The suspect is described as in his late 20s or 30s, about 5-foot 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short, dirty blonde hair, rotting teeth, wearing a tan/grey T-shirt and blue jeans.
