Santa Cruz Police To Celebrate National Night Out

The evening is a chance for communities to connect with local law enforcement.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — National Night Out, an annual event aimed at strengthening relationships between police and their communities, is set for August 2. The event is always the first Tuesday of August in most places.

Santa Cruz Police invited the community to an open house at the police department from 4 to 7 p.m.

“Bring your friends and family for a fun night a #SantaCruzPolice HQ,” the department said on Twitter.

The police station is at 155 Center Street.

Millions of people take part in National Night Out, NNO said. There are block parties, parades, cookouts and more all across the country.
