Woman Violently Sexually Assaulted, Police Seek Public's Help To Find Attacker

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police are seeking the public’s help to find a man who violently sexually assaulted a woman last week in Santa Cruz.

The attack occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Frederick Street, according to police.

“The survivor, an adult female, reported being violently attacked and sustained serious injuries,” police said in a news release.

Her attacker is thin, in his mid-late 20s, and about 5 feet, 8 inches or 5 feet, 9 inches tall, according to police, who said a composite sketch of the man was created with the woman’s help.
