90-Foot-Tall Snowman Graces Famous Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel

SANTA MONICA, CA — The famous Pacific Park Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica Pier will display a super-sized snowman animated to wave over the ocean to celebrate the holiday season.

Alongside the 55-foot-tall Christmas tree, images of reindeer with blinking red noses, animated snowflakes and holiday emojis will grace the Ferris wheel.

The 90-foot-tall Ferris wheel will display the holiday-inspired lights from Thursday until Dec. 30.

The Pacific Wheel is the world's only solar-powered Ferris wheel and features 174,000 LED lights and 16.7 million color value combinations. The eco-friendly LED lighting provides 81 percent greater energy savings than most other Ferris wheels.
