Three community meetings set in November for residents to learn about projects in their neighborhoods and across the city.

Curious what's happening in your neighborhood or about the financial health of the city?
The city's annual community meeting series, Santa Monica Talks (formerly titled "Can We Talk"), returns in November for residents to ask questions of city staffers, learn about upcoming projects, city services and the like.
The three dates are Nov. 10, 12 and 15.

Monday, Nov. 12

Thursday, Nov. 15
The Writers Boot Camp
2525 Michigan Ave.
6:30 to 9 p.m.
The same information will be provided at each meeting.
Drop in or stay for the entire time. Staffers will be available during the first and last 45 minutes of each session for informal conversations. The conversations will help guide the development of the city’s fiscal year 13-15 budget. Neighborhood association representatives will also be in attendance.

Childcare, bike valets, and Big Blue Bus vouchers will be available. A light dinner will be provided at the two evening meetings.
