Pedestrian Struck By Driver On Wilshire 2 Weeks After Fatal Crash
Two weeks after a pedestrian was struck and killed at a Wilshire Boulevard intersection, another pedestrian was injured in the same area.

SANTA MONICA, CA — A man was struck by a vehicle Sunday near Wilshire Boulevard and Chelsea Avenue, two weeks after a woman was killed in the same area by a hit-and-run driver.
The crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. Sunday, where a vehicle struck a homeless man in his 60s, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital, where he had stable vital signs. He was expected to survive, according to police.

The driver that struck the man remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor, police said.
The crash comes after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash Dec. 22 in the same intersection.

In that case, a Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of murder and felony hit and run. The suspect is accused of killing a Santa Monica resident who was also a Vietnam War veteran, police said.
