This is the first ever "spot-takeover" event put on by the SLS. The competition will take place on a custom course on the Santa Monica Pier and the triple set stairs, one of the city's most iconic skateboarding spots, according to the SLS. The event is meant to pay homage to a city that helped shape skateboarding into what it is today, according to the SLS.
There will also be several food vendors at the event, including Prince St. Pizza, Miya Miya Shawarma, Villa's Tacos and 27 Club Coffee.
