Former Santa Monica Airport director Bob Trimborn didn't stay retired for long.
Trimborn retired July 1 after 17 years at the helm of Santa Monica Airport.
"I've been running airports for over 30 years it's just my time," Trimborn told Patch. "I decided it was time to retire."
Trimborn told the Santa Monica Mirror this week that he has joined the Santa Monica-based American Airports Corporation.
The AAC is known as among the largest airport management companies in the nation.
