Sarge
One, two, left, right, hup, hup. The drill sergeant on duty. Once you meet him there's no doubt that you'll agree to serve in Sarge's platoon any 'ol time you're called up. He's an easy-going, gentle, lovable guy who won't boss you around or make unnecessary demands.
Sarge doesn't ask for much. Just some play time and the basics of food, water and shelter. Plus a bit of brushing along with bathing upon occasion. And, if you throw a few hugs his way, all the better. This big boy quickly became a medical staff favorite when he was brought to the South L.A. shelter. He had an open wound on his foot that required treatment. Nothing serious and it has just about healed by now.
Everyone who met him fell for that big grin and happy demeanor, not to mention those big brown eyes. Sarge is a perfect age -- 5 years old. He's not too set in his ways and has learned how to please his people. He's super huggable at upwards of 60 pounds, much of it fur.
Now that he is out of isolation, Sarge enjoys romping freely but will quickly come over for a roll-over and belly rub if you will sit and wait. Such a good dog. His 5-star rating got him transferred to the Harbor shelter in San Pedro where he is waiting for the perfect company.
Sarge's Adoption ID No is A1401077. And the Harbor shelter phone number is (310) 548-2632.
Imogene
What a face! What a body. All 90 pounds of beautiful already spayed Imogene are illustrious. Imogene is intelligent, interesting, and idolized by all who've met her. Just spend some time with this big white beauty and you'll be madly in love. She's a tremendous dog, literally. Super sweet, gentle, and very, very huggable. Perfect calm, gentle age of 8.
Sadly, Imogene has been in ISO since her arrival at the shelter. She's been treated for patches of "moist dermatitis" -- which only detracts slightly from her good looks and, we hope, will get smaller and smaller in size. Imogene is ready to move on to a new life and into loving arms. Her stay at the shelter, while helpful, must end -- now! She is not safe much longer here, ISO is packed and they need the cage space for other dogs coming in.
Why not come and visit Incredible Imogene -- and maybe make her yours? Andrea will meet you at the shelter. Save a life, today! Imogene's ID Adoption No. is A1403087.
