SMC Piano Ensemble To Perform December Concerts

The recital will feature music of the 20th and 21st century.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The Santa Monica College Piano Ensemble is set to perform a recital of music of the 20th and 21st century on December 3 and 5, the school announced Thursday.

The concert also includes a piece written for the ensemble by SMC composer Richard Martner. Advanced SMC piano students will demonstrate their skills of four-hand piano and piano duo repertoire under the direction of SMC music instructor Dr. Yulia Kozlova.

A free short concert will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3 in The Edye at the SMC Performing Arts Center. Complimentary tickets for the morning concert are available at the SMC Music Office (PAC 211). A full-length performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, also at The Edye. Tickets for the evening concert are $10.

The Edye at the SMC Performing Arts Center is at Santa Monica Boulevard at 11th Street in Santa Monica. Free parking is available on the premises, and seating is strictly on a first-arrival basis.
