Update: Parking Garage Victims Still in the Hospital

The pedestrians were pinned against a wall when a car crashed into them in a Santa Monica parking garage on 4th Street on Aug. 17.

Two pedestrians critically injured on Aug. 17 when a car pinned them against a wall in a Santa Monica parking garage are still recovering in the hospital.

Santa Monica Police Lt. Richard Lewis told Patch on Wednesday afternoon the 67-year-old man is still in the ICU after having undergone several surgeries to save his leg.

Lewis added the 24-year-old woman “suffered multiple injuries to her legs” but is expected to be released from the hospital “in a day or so.”

The crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. in Parking Structure 7 at 1502 4th St., this past Saturday.
