Fire Damages Sherman Oaks Apartment Building
Firefighters contained the blaze to the original, ground-floor unit.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A building fire damaged an apartment building in Sherman Oaks Friday afternoon, but no injuries were reported. The fire took place at 6210 N Reseda Blvd. and was reported at 12:18 p.m.
LAFD sent 31 firefighters to the scene, and the flames were extinguished in 12 minutes. LAFD's Margaret Stewart said flames were contained to the first floor unit and did not spread to other floors or rooms.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and the amount of damage is still to be determined.
