Local Restaurant Owner: Mask Mandate Created Anger, Confusion
Angela Marsden, owner of Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, believes requiring vaccinated people to wear masks creates more vaccine hesitancy.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Angela Marsden, the owner of Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, is speaking out against Los Angeles County's decision to reinstate a mask mandate for public indoor settings in response to the spread of the Delta variant.
"As of midnight on Saturday, it is a reality. So anybody in L.A. County has, whether you're vaccinated or not, has to wear a mask if you're indoors," Marsden told Fox News. "So that is now our reality, our new reality."
Marsden said the mandate has created "anger and confusion" among her patrons, and told Fox News of conversations with other restaurant employees who said they believe requiring the vaccinated to wear masks is causing people to distrust the efficacy of the shots.

"The funny thing is, is it creates more vaccine hesitancy, in my opinion," Marsden said. "I don't understand the inconsistency, the confusion and the fear baiting that is basically being used by our leadership."
