Sherman Oaks Gelson's Hosts 'Rescue From The Hart' Adoption Day

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A local grocery store in Sherman Oaks is hosting an event to help dogs find forever homes.

Gelson's grocery is hosting a free pet adoption event across nine of its Southern California locations, including the store in Sherman Oaks, on Saturday.

The store, located at 4520 Van Nuys Boulevard, is hosting Van Nuys-based nonprofit shelter Rescue From The Hart. On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the foundation will bring dogs that need homes to the store for shoppers to meet.

"Gelson’s loves animals and we work with nearly a dozen of pet rescue groups throughout various store locations," the store wrote in a release. "If you have the interest to adopt and add a furry member to the family, please come out!"
