Woman Found Stabbed To Death, Possible Suspect Detained By LAPD

The victim's body was found at a house near the intersection of Woodman Avenue and Sherman Way.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A woman was found fatally stabbed Wednesday morning, and a potential subject was detained by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers were sent to the 13800 block of Valerio Street, near the intersection of Woodman Ave and Sherman Way, around 8:50 a.m. Upon arrival, they found an unconscious woman with multiple stab wounds who was not breathing. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The victim was described only as a woman in her 40s. Her name was not released until relatives could be notified.
