1 Injured In Apartment Complex Carport Fire In Santa Rosa
Several apartments in the two-story building were evacuated.
SANTA ROSA, CA — One person was taken to a hospital for burns Saturday after a fire in an apartment complex carport, Santa Rosa firefighters said.
Firefighters who responded about 10:36 a.m. at 732 Beaver St. found multiple vehicles ablaze in the attached structure and a man lying on the sidewalk with "significant burn injuries," firefighters said in a press release.
The incident was upgraded to a second alarm -- calling in additional firefighters and equipment -- because the fire threatened adjacent apartments, fire officials said. Several apartments in the two-story building were evacuated.
