The Ledson Family, is pleased to announce that the benefit BBQ to help cover the medical bills of Kenwood Volunteer and CAL FIRE firefighter Kevin Cooper, 34, who suffered severe head trauma during a recent fall, raised over $55,000. Over 400 people came out to Ledson Winery to show support and contribute generous donations to the ongoing recovery process. Kevin, a long-time member of the community, faces long-term therapy and costly rehab.
The event held Saturday, July 16 featured a wide-ranging BBQ, fireman’s chili, assorted side dishes that were donated by local businesses and food vendors, as well as a silent and live auction.
